Driftwood Spars

 Wedding Venues

Warm, welcoming and fun-loving with a natural, laid back character: the Driftwood Spars is just a stone’s throw from the stunningly iconic Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes. And they believe every wedding or civil partnership is as individual as those taking part, whether that means an elopement-style ceremony with just the two of you, the dog and the Cliffside Garden as the backdrop, or an epic family gathering in the Seaview Dining Room with scope for music and merry-making late into the night.

A wedding at the Driftwood is an utterly memorable experience and even its history is curious and unusual. The Driftwood Spars’ name stems from the huge beams that comprise its structure. Those spars were salvaged from shipwrecks along the coast and were used to build the Driftwood in the 1650s.  It started life as a tin mining warehouse and has since been a chandlery, a sail-making loft and a fish cellar before being converted to a hotel and bar in the early 1900s.

This true Cornish coastal pub cares about making memories while minimising their environmental impact and will always provide friendly service and the finest locally sourced produce, from a selection of proper Cornish ales to scrumptious homemade food. And there are 15 comfortable  bedrooms for your nearest and dearest at the end of the night.
